Who are we?

ProTrackletes is an organization that unites aspiring, current and former professional track and field athletes. This community aims to redefine what it means and looks like to be a professional athlete in athletics, providing both resources and support in all aspects of the sport. ProTrackletes not only provides a safe space for athletes to connect and share their stories, but tangible resources for athletes to learn how to best approach the professional track and field athlete lifestyle.

our founder

ProTrackletes founder, Hayley Manners, identified that there is a lack of resources when it comes to the pathway to a professional career in track and field. She started ProTrackletes to help address this and create a safe space where all members of the track and field community can benefit from.

Hayley is a Canadian-born, Toronto native, who’s dreams of representing her country on the world stage started at an early age. What once was a dream to be a national team gymnast, turned into a fiery passion for track and field. She pursued this dream through college, competing for 4 years at Central Michigan University, where she was a Mid-American conference champion in the long jump and 4-time All-MAC honoree. Hayley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and transferred to the University of Central Florida for graduate school, where she competed as a Knight and earned her MBA and Master’s of Sports Business Management.

As she neared the end of her collegiate career, Hayley had no intention of ending her track and field endeavors - but had very little guidance on how to approach it. She realized that although it is possible to “go pro” without signing a contract, nobody was talking about how to do it. It was then that the community of ProTrackletes was born.
